
Free Delivery Service
We offer free delivery of our entire product range to all
areas of Mainland Britain. Exceptions: (Please contact us for
a quote before placing your order.) The following areas
will usually incur delivery charges:
- Northern Ireland
- Scottish Islands (including Skye, despite the bridge!)
- Isle of Man
- Isle of Wight (with regret!)
- Scilly Isles
We
do not provide a fixed price list for these areas as delivery
charges vary greatly depending on the delivery location and the
size and weight of the item(s) purchased. Please contact us for
a quote before placing your order.
We do not currently offer
delivery to the Channel Islands except for very small items from
our Makeup/Shaving Mirror section. Please contact us before
ordering.
International Deliveries
We do not offer
delivery to destinations beyond the UK
Lead Times
Delivery
times vary across our product range. The following should act as
a guide:
- Items displayed as “IN STOCK” – usually within 5
working days (often sooner)
- Bathroom mirrors – typically
delivered with 7 working days
- Security Mirrors – typically
within 7 working days.
- Large Mirrors – 10 to 15 working
days [conditions apply, see notes below]
- All other items
not currently showing as in stock – up to 28 days
If you need
your mirror very quickly, or have specific delivery
requirements, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
How do I know when my delivery will be?
Regular Items from our warehouse stock are picked and carefully
packaged then booked in for collection by our chosen courier.
Once despatched, they are transported overnight for delivery the
next day. (Except for deliveries to Northern Scotland and
non-mainland destinations that require two days or more.) You
will be sent an email the day before your delivery is due to
notify you that your parcel(s) have been despatched and should
arrive the following day. Deliveries are made between the hours
of 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday. (Excluding bank holidays).
Please note, that we are not always able to notify customers of
delivery dates when items are despatched directly from
manufacturers or distributors. Please contact us with any
queries and we will do our best to help.
“Large Mirrors” are
handled differently and the above does not apply. Please read
the section below if you intend to order one of our Large
mirrors.
What if they deliver when I’m out?
If the
delivery is unsuccessful, the courier will leave a note showing
the date and time of the delivery attempt. The note will also
show the courier’s contact details and a consignment tracking
number. The courier will attempt a second delivery free of
charge – often on the following day. If you are likely to be
unavailable for a second delivery attempt, or would like to
arrange when a second attempt is made, we advise you to contact
the delivery company directly as it may be possible to arrange
this.
If a second delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the
courier will try to contact you by phone and hold the parcel at
your local depot for up to 3 days where it will be available for
collection. At the discretion of the delivery company, It may be
possible to arrange a third delivery attempt. If, after this
time, the parcel has still not been delivered it will be
returned to mirror-mirror. If non-delivered parcels need to be
re-despatched from mirror-mirror then delivery charges will
apply, please see our terms and conditions.
Special Delivery
Services
If you would like your mirror to be delivered on a
specific day or by a particular time, when you are most likely
to be home, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
We are usually able to arrange deliveries for regular sized
mirrors on priority services with the following examples* as a
guide:
- You specify the delivery date cost £3.95
- By
Midday (Monday – Friday) cost £8.95
- By 10am (Monday –
Friday) cost £15.95
- Saturday morning - £25.95
- Direct
Delivery from Manufacturer/Distributor – £25
- Parcel Left
Unattended – no charge, (restrictions apply see below)

across the whole of our product range.
Receiving Deliveries
For security, a valid signature is required to acknowledge
receipt of all parcels. If you would like to have you mirror
delivered to an address other than the cardholder address, such
as to a workplace or neighbour, please submit the required
details into the “delivery details (if different)” form at the
checkout.
To assist with on-line security, we request that
customers using this option supply a current land line phone
number for both the cardholder and delivery addresses. If the
delivery address information is different to the cardholder
address and appears to us to be unsubstantial, we may reserve
the right to restrict delivery to the cardholder address only.
Parcel Left Unattended
If you are not able to receive your
delivery in the usual way, we may be able to arrange for parcels
to be left without a signature in a nominated “safe place”. All
parcels left in a nominated “safe place” will be accompanied by
a delivery confirmation card posted through the letterbox. We
require written authorisation from the cardholder by fax, email
or regular mail before instructing our courier to leave parcels
without obtaining a signature.

“Large
Mirrors”
(IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING LARGE
MIRRORS)
“Large Mirrors” are those displayed on our web site
within the category titled “Large Mirrors”. (The following does
not apply to other regular sized mirrors from any other category
on our web site.)
Our Large mirrors are too big to send via
the overnight parcel network. They are despatched with our
specialist fragile goods transport firm and are fully insured.
Delivery is usually made within 10 to 15 working days. Once your
mirror has been collected from our warehouse, the transport firm
will contact you by phone, in advance, to notify you of their
intended delivery date. Each area is covered on a regular basis,
usually on the same day each week. If you request it, the driver
is also able to call you an hour before arrival.
This
delivery service is FREE. It is carried out by one driver only
and is based on the understanding that “the customer will
provide assistance” in unloading the product from the vehicle.
If you are not able to provide a person capable of assisting the
driver, we can arrange for a two-person delivery. If you require
a two-person delivery this must be booked in advance with
mirror-mirror.com. A fee applies when we provide a second person
to attend deliveries, the cost of which varies depending on your
location. Please contact us before placing your order if you
would like a quote.
Please note: if you do not inform us
in advance that driver assistance is unavailable, or the person
made available to assist the driver is not sufficiently capable
of helping, and this results in a delivery having to be aborted,
we will need to re-schedule the delivery for an alternative
time. You will be required to pay a £50 re-delivery charge in
addition to any charges associated with providing a second
person to assist the driver during the second delivery.
Delivery to Ground Floor Only
Deliveries are made to a ground
floor entrance area only. We regret that we are not able to
deliver items further within your premises as our delivery
partners may not be covered by insurance. Please make your own
arrangements for moving items within your own premises. Delivery
of parcels up or down steps is undertaken solely at the delivery
driver’s discretion, in accordance with the delivery company’s
health and safety policy and training. Deliveries to flats will
be made to a ground floor lobby only.
Restricted Access?
If your property is likely to be inaccessible for larger
vehicles, you must inform us of this prior to placing the order
for a large mirror, as alternative arrangements may need to be
made.
Checking deliveries
Following several years of
packaging development, breakages are now very rare indeed,
However, doing what we do, accidents inevitably happen from time
to time! The most obvious sign of a smashed mirror in a box is
the tell tale jangling sound. If your mirror has obviously been
smashed in transit, please assist us by refusing to sign for it.
The delivery driver will have to return it to us at the
courier’s expense not ours. If you sign for the parcel, the
delivery is deemed have been successful and we will be charged
for it, whether the goods are intact or not.
Courier drivers
may have up to 60 drops or more to carry out each day and
regrettably are unable to wait while bubble wrap is removed or
boxes opened up. Owing to the fragile nature of the products we
supply, we require all products to be inspected immediately
following delivery and any damage or faults to be reported to
mirror-mirror.com via email, fax or telephone within 24 hours of
the delivery. Please view our contact us page for details.
We
will not accept responsibility for shortages, damages, or faulty
goods not reported to mirror-mirror.com within 24 hours.
If
products are not due to be installed until a later date, please
unpack immediately to inspect, then re-pack for storage. We
recommend that customers order products well in advance of when
they are needed and are in full receipt of goods prior to
appointing fitters to carry out any installations.

Suggestion: If you are often out of the house, why not consider using your work address for the delivery, or ask a friend or neighbour to receive your mirror delivery instead! |
