Edgehill Overmantle Mirror - Large

An unusual overmantle mirror in that the frame is not straight sided but slightly horseshoe shaped. This mirror has a carved crest and side finials. The example pictured is hand leaf finished in a gold colour. It is then aged by the application of a dark lacquer that settles into the grooves and creases in the leaf to give an antique gold look. Various other spray painted and hand leafed finished are available. Edgehill is also available in a smaller size (the smaller size was used for these photographs.) Fixings are the strap-hanger type and should be hung directly from screws or hooks. A protective board is fitted behind the crest for transportation and should be removed prior to installation.
